Skillet Hofbrau Hash

Recipe

4 tbsp. margarines
2 tbsp. brown sugar

2 medium apples, cored, pared and sliced (about 2 cups)
1/4 cup chopped onion

3 cups (12oz.) frozen loose packed hash brown potato
1 - 16 oz. can sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1 - 12 oz. package smoked sausage links halved crosswire
1/2 tsp. poppy seeds
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

In a 12 inch skillet, melt margarine. Add brown sugar. Stir in apples and onion; cook uncovered, till almost tender, about 3 min. Stir in frozen potatoes, sauerkraut, sausage and seasonings. Simmer, uncovered about 8 to 10 minutes or till heated through, stirring occasionally.

Use: Hillshire Farms smoked sausage cut in chunks and split.

Make 6 servings.
